I sill not received my RB133 and Routerboard get new peace of hardware – RB411.
New Board is based on Atheros AR7130 CPU or NPU /network processing unit/as they call it π
What we have on board AR7130 running on 300Mghz, 64MB flash, 32MB RAM,one LAN, One MiniPCI, serial, and POE 10~28V DC with overvoltage protection.
BIG non compresed image of RB411 ~1.5MB
System solution is based on Atheros ar7100 architecture
http://www.atheros.com/pt/bulletins/AR7100Bulletin.pdf
So we may expect 2 USB ports and “I2S interface to directly support an external audio codec” whatever the last thing mean – maybe that CPU may used in wireless phones. π
More we see that Routerboard used AR7130 chip for CPE unit. This is the smallest chip from the AR7100 line.
I can image more powerful AR7141 for Small AP or “RB433” unit π
And may be AR7161 in Dual Band “RB444” successor with 2 MiniPCI and 2 or 3 Gigabit Ethernet LAN and slots for RAM and flash, and USB ports.
In the net I found several pictures of reference design boards in the internet – here some pictures :
